On The Edge
On The Edge was produced to provide a compelling argument in support of high yield agricultural production's contribution to preserving world biodiversity, species and habitats. It refutes the common argument that high yield agriculture is not sustainable and that it is in conflict with conservation goals.
On The Edge provides a unique view of the role agricultural production plays in both destroying and preserving wildlife species and their environment. Fifty pages of text combined with over 60 photographs lay the groundwork for the balance of the book. The remaining 289 pages of images consist of over 330 photographs of territory and species from around the world. Captions provide facts about loss of habitat, consumption levels, various threats to a number of different animal species and solutions that are vital to a sustainable future.
The book links the challenge of feeding a growing population while maintaining our biodiversity. Stunning photography makes this an easy book to view. Former Senator Paul Simon is author of the foreword, with endorsements from former Congressman John Kasich and well-know radio announcer Orion Samuelson.
